Water and the East River Esplanade Panel Discussion: October 2

Join CIVITAS and the National Academy for the first of three panel discussions in our Art, Design, and the Urban Environment series.
Admission is FREE for CIVITAS members. Find out how to join.
The first panel titled Water and the East River Esplanade examines the revitalization of waterfront spaces within the context of the East River Esplanade from 63rd to 125th Streets. Through community visioning events and an international design competition, CIVITAS has been advocating for a better waterfront park along the East River that will serve the recreational and environmental needs of the East Side community. This discussion of the Esplanade is an opportunity to explore both the history of the waterfront along the Upper East Side and East Harlem, as well as the potential in urban waterfronts to add value to our neighborhoods.
